Making a queue available over AppleTalk or TCP/IP
You can make a print queue available to your users over AppleTalk or TCP/IP (even if printers attached to the queue support only one of these protocols). This gives you more flexibility in the printers you make available to your client computers. For example, you can set up a queue (available over AppleTalk or TCP/IP) and attach a printer that uses only AppleTalk, such as an older LaserWriter printer. Windows clients that can print only to LPR printers can send print jobs to the queue; the print server can then send the jobs to an AppleTalk printer, even though they originated from a Windows client computer.
